All right, so I let this place go.

I’m here to dust off the cobwebs and get back to writing. I took two intensive courses over the summer, a week or so after classes ended for me. Both semesters were pretty intense and I did well this time around in June, with an A and a B+. I took my first Writing Fiction workshop with a very talented professor and my Lord – did I write!

I learned a lot from this course, but mostly what I had to do to become a successful writer – write, write and keep on writing. I realize there’s so much discipline required to succeed in the craft. I hope to write a bit during the summer, now that my two classes are done.

What’s helping me is a website I’ve discovered via Facebook called Associated Content. This is a legitimate website where you get paid to write articles about various topics. Granted, it’s not a lot of money – so far I’ve made about $10 – but it certainly pushes you to write and teaches you about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and writing for Internet audiences. My profile is here, and so far I have five published pieces. Be gentle.

The weather has been nutty lately here too. Raining every day after bursts of sun. As long as there are no hurricanes, I’m fine.
